China's two-wheeled electric vehicles achieve major breakthrough in Southeast Asian market
China's new energy vehicles have not only made significant achievements in the global market, but China's two-wheeled electric vehicle market has also emerged on the international stage. Especially in Southeast Asia, domestic brands such as Yadi, Tailing, Luyuan, and Jiuhao are actively expanding their presence in overseas markets relying on their development momentum in the new energy field.
Take Vietnam as an example. As the world's fourth largest motorcycle market, the arrival of Chinese electric vehicles has changed the market landscape. Japanese motorcycle brands such as Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki once dominated this area, with annual sales exceeding 3 million units. However, with the introduction of electric vehicles in China, sales of Japanese brands suffered a significant decline last year for the first time in 15 years. Sales of Honda and Yamaha dropped by 20% and 13% respectively, while sales of China's Yadi electric vehicles bucked the trend and increased by 36%, becoming the first Chinese electric vehicle brand to have annual sales exceeding 100,000 units in Vietnam.
